She served as a judge for IDEATHON, organized by the Department of MCA, Sir MVIT on 27th February 2024. Dr. Kavitha was also invited as a speaker and judge for Ideathon on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, held at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Yelahanka on 19th and 20th February 2024. Earlier, she contributed as a speaker for the “National Youth Day” celebration organized by IIC, Sir MVIT, on 12th January 2024.
• The department organized an industrial visit for the participants of Teleposium 2.0. They were taken to Obeya, a start-up company on 21st January 2024. 40 participants from various semesters and branches actively participated. Abhishek Kumar Jha of S4 secured First Place in the quiz competition TECH-TRIVIA conducted by QUILLZ, the quiz club of SMVIT, on 12th March 2025. He also participated in the 3rd NLS MANUPATRA QUIZ organized by the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, held on 22nd and 23rd March 2025.

Rajeev Tiwari, Manas Yadu and Sajal Raj of S4 won the 1st prize (cash amount of ₹25,000) in the Robolympics at PRAVEGA, held from 31st January to 2nd February 2025, at IISc, Bengaluru.

• Abhishek Kumar Jha of S3, participated in “Quizerria : National level quiz” organized by IIM Lucknow. Abhishek also participated in the state level round of RBI90 Quiz organized by RBI, held on 14th November 2024, He Got top 90th position out of 20,000 team all over Karnataka.
• Abhishek Kumar Jha of S3 participated in the IIFT article writing competition on “Navigating the Challenges Faced by MSMEs in Engaging in International Trade,” securing Rank 12 among 312 participants in October 2024. He also participated in the JAM competition organized by the Alekhya Literary Club and secured 3rd position on 30th October 2024. Rajeev Tiwari of S3 participated in Startup Mela 4.0 to share his startup idea at St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru on 28th October 2024.

He also participated in the Case Study Competition, held by IIM Ahmedabad, where he was a semi-finalist, ranking among the top 50 teams out of 1800 on 15th September 2024. Department conducted Teleposium from 21st April 2025 to 25th April 2025.It was five days technocultural program in which many events like Technical Quiz, Robothon, Circuit Debugging, Poster Presentation,. Paper Presentation, JAM, Web devop, BGMI, Digital Adventure,Turn coat, Mini project, Outdoor games, Cultural event where conducted.It was national level intercollege program. The chief guest was N. Selvam senior director FAaas Oracle India.

Department organized “Project exhibition 2023” for the final year students on May 13, 2023.

Department organized boot camp under the banner of CIII in collaboration with Ruchika Sureka who is the founder of the group WAD (What A Day). The program was conducted for 50 student participants. On 8th July 2023, a session on finance management was conducted by Anupam Roongta, SEBI approved investor.

Department celebrated Institution’s Innovation Day in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council on 18th October 2023. Dr. E. Kavitha, Mentor of IIC, Dr. Vanipriya C. H., President of IIC and Dr. Sasmita Mohapatra, Vice President of IIC inaugurated the event which was followed by the Poster presentation and technical quiz for the students of all the branches.
