At the Department of Management Studies, we strive to develop holistic individuals equipped with essential managerial skills and talents to excel in the dynamic corporate world.

Our faculty boasts extensive experience in both industry and academia, ensuring students receive practical and theoretical knowledge. To stay updated, our faculty participates in workshops and faculty development programs.

As a recognized Research Centre of VTU, we foster research excellence. Currently, four research scholars are pursuing their research under our VTU Research Centre.

We are committed to delivering high-quality management education. Our initiatives include Conducting programs and workshops for faculty and students, Specially designed, Orientation Programs Case Discussions, Debates, Business Quizzes, Seminars.

By going beyond the syllabus, we empower students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills, preparing them for success in the corporate world.

  • Authored Few Management Textbooks for MIBM GLOBAL ONLINE COURCE (Matrix Institute of Business Management )
  • Increased revenue by 14% with the implementation of contact strategies across multiple segments and all customer touch points.
  • Implemented a strategic management reporting system in the manufacturing unit thereby enhancing productivity and control in the organization.
  • Suggested a financial plan with regards to working capital management.
  • Put forward a plan for a structured approach towards import payments that led to rotation of capital, while assuring safety against hindrance faced due to Dollar fluctuation.

VTU Ranks Nayana S of batch 2020 to 2022 has secured 9th rank in VTU Technical/Co-curricular (achievements and recognitions from other organizations/ institutions) GITAM University conducted a management fest on the 16th and 17th of March 2023. Our students of 1st SEM from the department of MBA actively participated in the events and won 5 prizes, and all received participation certifications from the University.

The department had organized a Management fest named “Taksh” on 11th and 12th March 2025. The prestigious TAKSH 2025 MBA Management Fest witnessed an inspiring address by Aisshwarya DKS Hegde, the esteemed Chief Guest of the event. A visionary edupreneur, she captivated the audience by sharing her journey and insights on leadership, resilience, and the transformative power of management. The fest featured a wide range of events across three key specializations—Finance, Marketing, and HR—including activities like Mock Trading, IPL Auction, Shark Tank, Treasure Hunt, Zombie Escape, Best Manager, Short-Movie Making, Business Quiz, and Mad Ads.
