All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) has identified Sir MVIT as one of the 100 centers where the first phase of the scheme "Center for National Academic Network for Continuing Education" (C-NANCE) will be implemented. The council has entered into an MOU with SUN Microsystems to provide quality training technologies in IT related areas under this scheme.

The C-NANCE scheme is aimed to provide continuing education to students/professionals on advanced technologies of the world so that they are globally competitive and more employable. The council supports only those colleges under the scheme who have adequate infrastructure to support these activities. Sir MVIT acts as a nodal center for this region of operation and trains as many students/ professionals as possible.

Short-term courses on modules provided by SUN Microsystems are being launched in specialized Java Technology. These modules are provided by SUN and senior students/ professionals can take up these courses. Two faculty members have successfully completed the authorization test to train the trainer programme of SUN.

There is a provision of final exam at the end of the modules by SUN and on successful completion of training, SUN (under the scheme of C-NANCE of A.I.C.T.E.) would provide certificates.
