DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES:

A :- Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) India – Sir MVIT Collegiate Club:
SAE India – Sir MVIT collegiate club was inaugurated on 18th November, 2009 in the dept. by Chief Guest – Mr. Srinivasa                   Raghaven,Chairman, Bangalore Section, SAE, India. Mr. Mangesh Khare, Head-Automotive Vehicle, Mindtree, Bangalore was the                   Guest of Honour.

Students’ Achievements in curricular activities:

A. Mr. Priyanka Nadig of 6th Semester was given financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- for the Post Presentation in the International               Conference at Berlin, Germany held from 28-30 September, 2009.
B. Sri G. Abhishek of 6th Semester was sponsored to attend an International Conference on “Development of Advanced Technologies for               Enhancing Efficiency in Sterling Engines for Solar Power Points” held at Johnsonburg, South Africa from 11-14 October, 2009 by               extending financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/-
C. Students of the department have developed the Motorized Camera Crane named as Jimmy Jib. The approximate cost for               manufacturing is Rs. 45,000/-
