Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. Graduates will be employed within engineering fields and demonstrate technical competence, such as identifying, formulating, analyzing, and creating engineering solutions using appropriate current engineering techniques, skills, and tools.
  2. Graduates will be able to utilize their skills and knowledge to invent, design and realize novel technology, to find creative and innovative solutions to engineering problems and to identify, research and solve new technical challenges and will be receptive to new technological and cultural challenges through life-long learning such as advanced degrees, publications, presentations, awards, etc

Graduates will exhibit good citizenship and cultured mannerism and Use their engineering ability and technical communication skill to embrace cultural, societal, environmental, and ethical issues in their work to help fulfils their professional responsibilities to themselves, employers, employees, co-workers, and the local, global communities and improve the quality of life in society.

  • Both UG and PG students are distinguished themselves by securing University ranks, and achieved high scores in the GATE and other competitive examinations.
  • Most of the students are encouraged to attend GRE exam and they have been admitted reputed universities in US, UK and Australia. Our students also participate in various competitions and conferences, e.g., HP Innovate in 2008, wherein the Sir MVIT paper was one of the top ten selected nationally.
  • Our department has been recognized as Research Centre by the Visvesvaraya Technological University for carrying out research work leading to the award of M.Tech (Electronics), M.Sc. (Engg.) and Ph.D. degrees. The research center has recently been equipped with industry standard Cadence software for VLSI design.
  • Our department has an active IEEE and IETE student branch and a Forum to organize seminars in forefront and cutting edge subjects.  The   students are thus exposed to the latest developments in electronics engineering and other relevant areas.

Co-curricular activities: On their own initiative, our students have founded a group called “i-Cube” for promoting research and project activities for students of all braches of Engineering. I-Cube encourages creative activities by holding competitions and Seminars. First year students also participate enthusiastically in all these activities. A departmental News Letter “Electronically Speaking” has commenced publication, and two issues have appeared. Its lively and variegated contents have kindled a lot of interest. Students are encouraged to contribute articles of scientific and general interest, as well as others of more general nature to this publication.

Academics

  • Mr. Goutham M, Ms. Bindya V, Mr. Kaushik V and Ms. Arpitha R have participated in Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge India Analog Design Contest 2015. The Project title is “An assistive hand glove for the visually impaired”.
  • Mohammed Danish Khan, Mr. Mitikiri Naveen Shankar, and Mr. Abhishek Kumar have participated in Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge India Analog Design Contest 2015 & they got short listed for final round & won prize amount of Rs.60,000/-.For the Project title “Autonomous Floor Cleaner”.

Placements:

  • 99.5% Students were placed in many companies and many students were holding multiple offers.

Alumni Meet: Alumni meet conducted every year. The meeting commenced with an invocation, followed by Group Discussion, Question and Answer session.  Alumni also shared their real life experiences with the present students. In Alumni meet they will discuss recent trends in Industry, & improving soft skills of the current academic year students.
Parents Meet: A parent Teachers meeting being convened by the department each and every semester. Parents meet was conducted on 3rd October 2015. A formal invitation has been extended to all the parents via e-mail and telephone. Parents expressed their happiness for arranging the meeting and they were happy about the administrative system. Suggestions given by the parents implemented without affecting the administrative policy of the college.
