About Sir MVIT:

Dr. Viresh K. Basalalli, Ph.D (IITD) Director

Dr. M.S. Indira, Ph.D.(High Voltage Engg, IISc) Principal

He is B.E. (Mech) graduate from Karnataka University, M.E. (Hons.) in Production Engineering from Roorki University and obtained his Ph.D. from IIT, Delhi. He is Chairman BOG - National Design and Research Forum – Institute of Engineers (India). He is Former Registrar, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. He is the former Professor (PG) and Chairman, Dept. of Mechanical Engg., UVCE, Bangalore.

She is a Ph.D. in High Voltage Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She is the Principal Investigator for a funded project from Ministry of Power through CPRI. She is currently Member of Board of Studies, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Visvesvaraya Technological University. VTU nominee for BOS in EEE for NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore and Member DPGC, R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore. She is presently guiding 4 students towards Ph.D. and has a patent pending in the field of education. She has to her credit of being the first woman to be appointed as Principal of an Engineering college affiliated to VTU in Karnataka.
