Activities of E-Cell from Aug. 2007 to July 2008



1. A Seminar on ‘Changing Paradigms in the Global Industry and the Relevance of Entrepreneurism’ by Prof. K. Jayaraman, Chief Mentor and CMD of “Centre for Information and Communication Technologies Pvt. Ltd.”, Bangalore was organized on 6.9.2007

2. Student members of E-wings participated in fest “IGNITION 2007” conducted by NIT, Surathkal on 8-9 Sep. 2007

3. A Workshop on Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship was conducted by Sri S. Satish Chandra, Chief Coordinator, E-Cell on 17.9.2007

4. The following students had the opportunity to join Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, founder of BIOCON for lunch on 21st Sep. 2007

5. The core team attended a “Leadership workshop” conducted by NEN at Mount Carmel College on 29th Sep. 2007

6. Sri S. Satish Chandra, Chief Coordinator of E-Cell attended Entrepreneurship Educators Course Module #3: “New Venture Creation - Developing a Business Plan” at I.I.M., Bangalore from 3-5 Oct. 2007

7. A documentary film “October Sky” was screened on 8.10.07 to motivate and educate students on developing Entrepreneurial skills

8. An “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” was organized in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum from October 15-17, 2007. (Annexure – II)

9. Sri S. Satish Chandra, Chief Coordinator was invited by National Entrepreneurship Network to deliver a guest lecture on “How to organize Entrepreneurship activities at the Campus” to faculty members from various colleges during their orientation programme at Mount Carmel College on 28.11.07

10. Sri S. Satish Chandra, Chief Coordinator of E-Cell attended Entrepreneurship Educators Course Module #4: “Outside the box – Experiential Learning Methods” held at I.I.M., Bangalore from 14-16 Jan 2008

11. Sri S. Satish Chandra, Chief Coordinator of E-Cell attended Entrepreneurship Educators Course Module #5: “Way forward – Entrepreneurship Program acceleration ” held at NEN’s office, Bangalore on 5th Feb. 2008

12. E-Week Celebrations – 2nd – 9th Feb, 2008 (Annexure –III) E-Cell, SIR MVIT were awarded as Champions runnerup of E-week -2008

13. A Workshop by Sri S. Satish Chandra, Chief Coordinator, E-Cell, on “Module #1 - Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” to Students of MBA both I Year and II Year on 19.3.2003
